Beaujolais Villages

Beaujolais-Villages takes its name from a certain number of wine-making villages in the Beaujolais production area - 38 to be precise – that have long stood out for the superior quality of their wines. By "superior" is meant greater aromatic complexity, greater concentration and greater reliability. This delicious red wines mark a sort of transition between "plain" Beaujolais with its spontaneous character and the ten prestigious "crus" further north. If we can compare a charming Beaujolais wine with the Cherub in Mozart’s "Marriage of Figaro", Beaujolais-Villages would be Figaro, more mature and experienced, more sure of himself. More than any other, it is a wine that is enjoyed in happy homes.

An intense, brilliant cherry colour with purplish tints. Complex nose with red and black berry aromas (raspberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants). A smooth wine with fine tannins, harmonious and complete.
Ideal for all occasions, from aperitif to cheese.
Ready to drink but may be laid down for 1 to 2 years.
