Chiroubles

Chiroubles has the distinction of being the highest "Cru", rising to a height of 450 metres. From the high balcony formed by its vineyards, you can look down on the vast plain of the Saône, which the very Burgundian Henri Vincenot affectionately called "the mother of rivers".

To the taste, it is the lightest of the Beaujolais wines, but strongly marked by red berry flavours. It gives the drinker the pleasant sensation of sliding through the mouth. According to a local poet who loved everything beautiful in this world, Chiroubles is "Beaujolais’ extravagance".
Balanced between fullness, acidity and tannins, the palate enjoys velvety, harmonious sensations.
An aromatic, harmonious finish rounds off this remarkable representative of the appellation.
Structured and racy, this wine may be enjoyed with red or white meats over the next two to three years.
