Domaine de la Fertine

Domaine de la Fertine is in the commune of Bouchet et Suze-la-Rousse in the Drôme. This year it extends over 13 ha.
The vines are an average of 40 years old and consist of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre.
Most of the vines are planted on stony clay-and-limestone soils.
The wine is an intense garnet colour with purplish tints. It has dark berry aromas with hints of pepper and spices and a touch of violet. Fleshy in the mouth, with good concentration. A very good tannin structure that combines fullness and smoothness. A delicious, powerful wine. In short... nectar!
