Saint Joseph
The vineyards face the Hermitage slopes, extending over 40 km from Chavanay in the north to Guilherand in the south. It covers 23 communes in the Ardèche and 3 in the Loire. These delicate, tasty wines, which the monks of Tournon called "Vins de Mauves" before giving them the name of the Virgin Mary’s husband, were served at the table of the kings of France as far back as the 16th Century.
This wine has a deep purplish colour. Its subtle aromas are dominated by red berries, evolving towards hints of leather and liquorice. Elegant and full-bodied in the mouth.
