Between Mâcon to the south, Tournus to the north and as far west as Cluny, the noble and very Burgundian Chardonnay reigns supreme on the limestone soil that suits it so well.
We’re in the heart of the gently undulating land of the poet Lamartine.
Born in Mâcon in 1790, Lamartine spent his entire childhood in the picturesque village of Milly.
His literary vocation was sparked by his childhood sweetheart Elvire.
Throughout his extremely active life, Lamartine pursued a dual career as an illustrious poet and a first-rate politician.
White Mâcon-Villages are light, lively and charming, especially when young.
Whatever the vintage, they are full of subtle fruit and floral aromas, enhanced by lemony nuances.
They seduce with their delicacy and simplicity.
