Morgon is without doubt the most typical of the ten Beaujolais Crus, or at least the easiest to identify at a tasting. It takes its name from a hamlet whose wine fame made it take on that of the village of Villi\u00e9, to the extent that the latter is close to being forgotten. When they talk about their wine, its producers like to use the mischievous slogan ‘the fruit of a Beaujolais, the charm of a Burgundy’. The C\u00f4te du Py ‘Climat’ is very well-known and its wines fully express the very special character of Morgon.<\/p>\n
