History

38 communes (31 in Rhône and 7 in Saône-et-Loire), spread over 3 geographical areas with distinct characteristics, give life to Beaujolais-Villages, the first French appellation to use the term “Villages”.
Domaine de la Madone des Loges is located in the commune of Le Pérréon, near Villefranche sur Saône.
The vines are over 40 years old.
In keeping with the specific characteristics of the Beaujolais region, the grapes are always harvested by hand and vinified in whole bunches.
The winemaker carries out a 10-day semi-carbonic maceration, with temperature control throughout the fermentation process.

Tasting

From granite and sandy soils, Beaujolais-villages have an intense color, with cherry or garnet highlights, and reveal red fruit aromas dominated by blackcurrant and strawberry. Brilliant garnet-red color. A pretty basket of red and black fruits, freshness, coated tannin, a round and fruity finish. A Beaujolais-Villages pleasure!
