Affiche 2025 : Jean-Philippe DELHOMME

Jean-Philippe DELHOMME was born in 1959 in Nanterre, France. He has been living and working in Paris since his graduation from the Ecole nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs in 1985. He first turned to the press and illustration after being convinced of their ability to reach a wide audience.
For more than thirty years, he has collaborated with major international media outlets (Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Vogue, Architectural Digest…), created campaigns for prestigious brands, and published a series of books combining drawings and texts (The Cultivated Life, The Unknown Hipster Diaries, Artists’ Instagrams…).
His work has been exhibited in renowned galleries and institutions — Perrotin (Paris, New York, Tokyo, Seoul…), the Musée d’Orsay, and the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.

On the occasion of Beaujolais Nouveau 2025, Jean-Philippe Delhomme continues the long-lasting tradition of still life painting. The artist presents a composition that is both classical and subtle, simplistic yet vibrant.
Set against a wine-coloured background, he arranges on a barely sketched table; a bottle of wine accompanied by a glass, a flowered vase, and a book. Each element, reduced to a simplified form through swift strokes, contrasts against the dense background thanks to white spaces that highlight the table and outline the objects.
In the upper section, there are a few words scribbled in capital letters, echoing the iconic slogan, infusing this “silent life” with an advertising appeal, animated by the noise of the world. The scene thus seems almost audible: in the midst of the commotion, a voice rises and proclaims, “Le Beaujolais nouveau Georges Duboeuf est arrivé !”, “The Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau is here ! ” The bottle is uncorked, the glass is poured. Everything invites us to savour this new vintage.
