2026 Poster: Julien COLOMBIER

Julien Colombier is a contemporary artist born in 1972 in Paris. He currently lives and works between Paris and the Drôme region. His artistic world draws heavily on nature, gardens, and imaginary landscapes, which he transforms into rich, lush, and colorful compositions.

He works primarily with acrylics, oil pastels, and chalk. His works invite the viewer to enter imaginary plant-filled worlds, where the profusion of shapes and colors evokes a fantastical, ever-expanding forest.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading fashion houses, including Chanel, Hermès, Cartier, and Baccarat. At the intersection of contemporary painting, street art, design, and interior design, his work stands out for creating a unique, immersive, and decidedly colorful visual world.

To mark the 2026 Beaujolais Nouveau, Julien Colombier carries on the time-honored tradition of announcing the arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau. In this work, the viewer’s gaze is drawn to veritable canopies of foliage, which form a lush, green setting above the grape clusters. Between the branches, rays of sunlight pierce through the foliage and illuminate the scene. They evoke those beams of light that pass through stained-glass windows, carving the space with luminous and almost mystical touches. The grapes, sun-drenched, appear plump, fleshy, and vibrant. Beside them, the lush foliage bears the marks of a challenging year. The composition thus becomes the story of an extraordinary year. The colors, the profusion of vegetation, the bunches of grapes, and those rays of light piercing through the foliage lend the whole scene an almost theatrical power. The 2026 Beaujolais Nouveau promises to be a rich, powerful, sunny, and voluptuous vintage, in which nature expresses both its abundance and its resilience, magnified by the winemakers’ expertise.
