History
The domain is all situated within the commune of Chiroubles, at the place known as Pontheux (a variation of “petit pont” – little bridge), and produces only Chiroubles. It has been run by the MEZIAT family and handed down from father to son, since 1889.
The vineyards face south-south-west on fairly steep slopes; the vines are mainly worked by hand using traditional methods.
Tasting
A garnet colour. Surprisingly intense on the nose, with “sorbet vigneron” and blackcurrant aromas ! This Chiroubles is also wonderfully expressive on the palate: delicious and hearty, with mellow, unobtrusive tannins. An absolute delight !
