History
Since it was born over 40 years ago, we have always been staunch supporters of this appellation, which sits in a ring around the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.
Made from the Chardonnay grape, this wine is a delightful, sparkling, golden-yellow colour. Glycerine “tears” run down the sides of the glass as you turn it.
The wine expresses fine, delicate aromas of Williams pears, opening out to white peaches, honey and vanilla, along with mineral notes of quince jelly.
Tasting
A superb bouquet followed by a fullness on the palate that gives the wine an excellent balance and the promise of real pleasure. Impressive now, it should be even better in the future.
