38 communes (31 located in the Rhône and 7 in Saône-et-Loire), spread over 3 geographical areas with marked specificities, give life to Beaujolais-Villages, the first French appellation to have used the term “Villages”.
The Domaine de la Madone des Loges is located in the Commune of Pérréon, near Villefranche sur Saône. It is essentially composed of vines over 40 years old. According to the specificities of the Beaujolais region, the harvest is always done manually and the vinification is done in whole bunches.
The winemaker proceeds to a semi-carbonic maceration of 10 days, with temperature control during the whole fermentation process.
