The vines used to make this wine extend over 1Ha20 of steep slopes between the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson.
The soil is mainly clay-and-limestone, with limestone dominant in some places, which gives the wine its lovely mineral quality.
The steeply sloping parcels require particular attention.
The vineyards are grassed and regularly ploughed between the rows to help fight against erosion.
The winegrower is a precise, clean, meticulous man who makes a wine in his image: this Pouilly-Fuissé is upright and pure.
