Laurent GUILLET and his wife took over the family business in 1987.
Domaine de la Chaponne is a true family story.
Everyone, including grandfather and grandmother, takes part in the various tasks on the estate.
Laurent always says that he “loves his terroir”, and does his utmost to ensure that the wine reflects the typicality of the Morgon appellation.
Most of the vineyard plots are located on the best Climat of the “Côte du Py” Appellation.
To allow the terroir to express itself, Laurent adapts the work in the vineyard and the winemaking process.
Every two or three years, he ploughs between the rows of vines.
The aim of this operation is to remove the superficial roots, forcing the main roots to draw the expression of the terroir from deeper down.
A true partnership exists between DUBOEUF and Domaine de la Chaponne.
Each year, Georges DUBOEUF buys the majority of the production.
