History

Working with vines and wines runs in the CARRET family.
Michel and his son Jérôme are respectively the 3rd and 4th generation of the family at Domaine des Trois Vallons.
The average age of the vines is 45 years.
The entire vineyard is trained in gobelet, trellised (for 30-year-old vines) and free-rooting (for older vines).
The vineyard is very hilly, with slopes varying from 10 to 30%.
The average yield is 50 hl/hectare.
The grapes are harvested by hand.
The winery has been completely renovated with temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.
Vatting is by conveyor belt.
90% of the grapes are vinified in MPC.
The average vatting time is 2 days for primeur wines and 4-5 days for vins de garde.
The remaining 10% are vinified using traditional methods, with vatting lasting 7-8 days.

Tasting

Michel and Jérôme CARRET take great care to respect the integrity of the grapes, from the vine to the vat. Their wines are fruity, round and full-bodied: very harmonious Beaujolais-Villages.
