Louis Briat was a French illustrator, born on June 24, 1938 in Saint-Etienne and died on February 18, 2021. Since 1989, he was also the author of several postage stamps. He had studied fine arts, first engraving, before devoting himself to communication. After his National Diploma of Fine Arts (DNBA) in 1959, he entered the National School of Fine Arts in Paris.
