Domaine de la Roche Noire is located in the hills above Chénas.
The estate covers 11 hectares, divided between the Chénas (0.70 ha) and Saint-Amour (2.25 ha) appellations, but mainly Moulin-à-Vent.
The vines benefit from several different exposures, the majority facing south/east.
The number of vines per hectare is 10,000.
The vines are cultivated using sustainable methods.
8o% of the harvest is de-stemmed, a third is vinified by hot prefermentary maceration, and the remainder by traditional vinification with tank toasting and délestage (depending on the vintage).
The Domaine has been awarded HVE certification.
High Environmental Value is the most demanding level of an environmental certification scheme for agricultural and viticultural operations.
It is a voluntary process designed to identify and promote practices that are particularly respectful of the environment.
It covers 4 themes: biodiversity preservation, phytosanitary strategy, fertilization management and water resource management.
