History

Cette exploitation est située sur la commune de Saint-Lager.
La famille GUIGARD (ancien négociant en vins lyonnais) a été propriétaire du domaine de 1925 à 2008. Il était alors composé de trois métayages (vignerons). Aujourd’hui, Gilles VINCENT et son fils Stéphane travaillent sur le domaine. Le domaine appartient à GROUPAMA depuis 2009, et Gilles VINCENT reste propriétaire de la marque.

Les vignes sont âgées en moyenne de 60 ans. La densité est de 10 000 pieds à l’hectare. Le vigneron pratique la taille en gobelet.

La vendange est évidemment manuelle, en grappes entières, selon la pratique beaujolaise traditionnelle.

Les vins sont stockés en cuves inox.

Depuis 1989, la SA VINS GEORGES DUBOEUF achète la récolte du domaine de Grand Croix.

Tasting

Ce Brouilly, lorsqu’il est jeune, a des caractéristiques de fruits rouges (framboise et fraise) mais aussi de cassis. C’est un vin souple, complexe en bouche puisque l’on retrouve sa richesse aromatique. Il est agréable à boire dans les 2-3 ans qui suivent la récolte.
