Born on March 24, 1959 in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine) he is a French painter. He is part of the French movement of free figuration. He lives and works in Paris. In the 1980s, François Boisrond painted characters in everyday situations. His paintings are colorful and vivid. The forms are simplified and often surrounded by black. He is inspired by the art brut. In the 2000’s, he transformed his studio into a museum working in the middle of visitors.
