History

The Estate is located in the commune of Prissé, one of the six villages in which Saint Véran is produced.
The lovely building, built in the late 17th Century, is attached to the Château de Monceau, where a great man of the Mâconnais, Lamartine, wrote L’histoire des Girondins . To find the peace he needed to write his book, the famous poet hid himself away at the far end of the grounds in a little wooden hut that he named La solitude . Benoît TRIBOULET bought the property in 1932. In 1959, Hubert took over from his father. Today, Hubert’s son Alain runs the estate with great attention.

Soil tillage up to 3 ploughings per year. Density : 8300 vine-plant/hectare. Rootstock : SO4, 41B and 3309.
Pruning method : guyot.

Vinification : pneumatic press, control of temperatures. Cold settling. Sulphiting is minimised in order to encourage early malolactic fermentation. Dry active yeasts arre used. Stainless steel fermenting room.

Tasting

A pale golden colour with light green tints. The nose is complex, revealing apple and pear aromas and scents of white blossom, subtly enhanced by hazelnut and almond. Fresh and hearty on the palate, with a touch of mineral. A pleasing, easy-drinking wine that your guests will love.
